This is not your typical women's "self defense" class.
The skills you will learn could definitely save your life if needed.
You will not learn a bunch of fancy techniques that are hard to remember.
This is not a kickboxing class.
My approach is mostly based on principles and concepts so they are easy to remember
and can become instinctive which is very important under stress.
Yes, you WILL learn some techniques that can stop an attacker but much of this
workshop is about avoidance and if you need to, survival.
Many women's self defense classes only address the "stranger-danger" scenario...
being attacked by someone you don't know.
We will definitely cover that in great detail but, statistically, over 70% of assaults
on women are by people they already know.
That is something not often addressed in self defense class but I also go
over this in great detail.
You will also learn my easy to remember G.E.T. Out program.
I am also endorsed by 500 Rising which is a women-run non-profit organization
created to help end violence against women.
